Description of the Revit license model

Autodesk Revit is a software for building information modeling (BIM). Revit combines architecture, engineering and all tasks in construction in a uniform modeling environment and thus enables construction projects to be carried out more efficiently and cost-effectively. If complex building components and structures are to be modeled, analyzed and simulated and extensive planning documents also need to be created, the full version of Revit is the right choice.

Revit LT, on the other hand, was developed as a cost-effective entry-level option for BIM. Nevertheless, Revit LT also contains a comprehensive tool set for 3D building design and the generation of the associated documentation.

Revit is only offered as licenses for rent (“Software-as-a-Service” or “SaaS”), whereby you can choose between terms of one and three years. The longer period is somewhat more cost-effective in relation to one year. The renewal of existing licenses is also discounted compared to entering or re-entering the software. As with new purchases, you can choose between one and three years for renewal, regardless of the previous term.
